Taking silver were Rosati PDO, an organic delicate blend and Rosati Monocultivar, an organic medium Picholine. Gold went to Rosati Fruttato, an organic medium blend.
The company had to work hard to mitigate the effects of adverse weather conditions on the olives, said co-owner Antonella Rosati on hearing of the wins.
A tough harvest indeed. In September the fruits looked fantastic, but the weather conditions changed rapidly with morning fogs. We had to rush in order to hand-pick as many healthy fruits as possible, even from the millennium trees. Thanks to an early harvest & the efforts of the entire team, we managed to still maintain our high-quality standards.Antonella Rosati, Co-owner
The wins make six NYIOOC awards in total for the company, which farms its olives in Puglia, Italy.
