Green Gold Olive Oil Awarded at 2024 NYIOOC

8 months agoBy OOT Staff

Spanish producer The Green Gold Olive Oil Co. has won a Gold Award at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.

Situated in Andalusia, the company earned its second-straight and fifth overall NYIOOC accolade for its Oh! brand, a medium-intensity Picual.

Owner Juan Jiménez said the entire harvest crew and production team were happy to hear the news of the victory, which he added demonstrates their commitment to producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil for customers and partners.

He added that the award was especially gratifying after drought and extreme weather complicated the 2023/24 crop year in Jaén.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's preeminent olive oil quality contest. Its annual list of award winners is the authoritative guide to the world's best olive oils and the dedicated producers who craft them.
