Santa Tecla
Santa Tecla extra virgin olive oil is produced from native varieties of Sinopolese and Ottobratica. It boasts an intense green with golden reflections. On the nose, it offers sensations of semi-ripe tomatoes, nuts, such as walnuts and almonds, and a lemon leaf finish. Velvety, it slides into the mouth, spreading a pleasant spiciness of red pepper.
Where to Find Olio Santa Tecla is in Cosoleto, near Aspromonte National Park in Calabria. Upon her father's death, Rita Licastro left her law practice and took over the family tradition. She established the Santa Tecla brand, refocusing on producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil. The olive grove comprises 15 hectares of centuries-old indigenous Sinopolese and Ottobratico olives. Rita's efforts began reaping International awards in 2016.
