The family estate earned three Gold Awards for organic medium-intensity Picholine, Chemlali and Chetoui monovarietals. The company also earned a Silver Award for an organic medium Koroneiki.
"An award in a competition is always welcome and a pleasure, especially in a competition as prestigious as the NYIOOC," owner Sala ben Ayed said. "It truly recognizes and rewards our hard work and accomplishments."
In the 2023/24 crop year, Domaine Adonis produced 15,000 liters of organic extra virgin olive oil from Picholine, Chemlali, Koroneiki and Chetoui olives using traditional methods.
"It was a good season overall, apart from the problem of rising temperatures and a lack of rainfall," ben Ayed said.
