The Italian company uses traditional processes to produce its extra virgin olive oil in Lazio.
Poor conditions plagued the company during the season, owner Antonio Gioacchini said after receiving news of the award.
"The last harvest was very difficult. We had very bad weather conditions in April and May and beginning of June during the fruit set period with the result of a poor harvest. Nevertheless, we managed to keep the quality high," Gioacchini said.
The Gold Award-winning olive oils were a medium-intensity blend and a medium Caninese.
"After the 2019 Best in Class in New York with Solum Blend and after the difficulties we faced during last harvest, winning two golds with Solum Blend and Solum Monocultivar Caninese this year is a great pride for everyone working in the company. [It spurs us] to get better next year, conscious that we took the high road," Gioacchini said.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
