The Sicilian producer earned awards at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its Verde brand, an organic medium-intensity blend, and the U'Ciui brand, an organic medium Nocellara del Belice.
"We are very proud to have won Gold Awards three years in a row at the NYIOOC," said co-owner Paolo Miceli. "Thanks to these important awards, we were able to make ourselves known in the United States market."
In the 2023/24 crop year, Miceli & Sensat produced 35,000 liters of organic extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods from Cerasuola, Biancolilla and Nocellara del Belice olives.
"Due to this year's high temperatures, we put our organic olives in cold mobile storage after they were harvested to preserve all their properties," Miceli said.
"In less than two hours, the olives are processed in our state-of-the-art farm mill, and the immediately filtered oil is preserved with noble gases to preserve all its health properties," he added.
