Oli de Santanyi Awarded for an Exceptional Organic Blend
Oli de Santanyi S.L. won a Gold Award at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.

The winning oil was Oli de Santanyi, an organic medium blend.
The 2019/2020 season was helped by beneficial conditions, company owner Dirk Müller-Busch said after receiving news of the award.
"The 2019/2020 harvest was very good for us in terms of quantity and quality. After a productive year follows a less productive one. The extensive rains in May did the soil good and helped with the flowering, which started very late this year. The high temperatures in summer counteracted a possible olive fly attack," Müller-Busch said.
This year, the Spanish company produced 1,000 liters of organic extra virgin olive oil in the Balearic Islands from Arbequina, Picual and Empeltre olive trees using traditional methods.
"We are very delighted, that our organic Oli de Santanyi has won a gold medal in this important international competition and is one of the best olive oils in the world. The awards is a high recognition for our constant quality work and a great motivation for our young project," said Müller-Busch.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
