Situated in Kalamata, the company earned its debut accolade at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its Konstantopoulos PDO Kalama brand, a delicate Koroneiki.
"This award makes our painstaking efforts worthwhile and serves as firm quality assurance for our partners," said Iliana Flessa, the company's quality control manager.
In the 2023/24 crop year, Olymp sold 1,000 tons of extra virgin olive oil. Flessa cited climate change as the main challenge the company is facing its milling partners on the Peloponnese peninsula in southwestern Greece.
