We handpick our monovarietal Coratina olives from our groves in Bari before cold-pressing them within 12 hours of having been harvested. The resulting oil has a medium to strong fruitiness with average values for bitterness and spiciness, as well as a smell of fresh almonds and delicate flavors of grass, leaf and artichoke.

In the 37 acres of olive groves, our Coratina production reached about 90 to 100 tons per year. In 2017, Girone’s family decided to invest in the direct transformation of the olives into oil. Thanks to great attention to the selection of the best local mill and to an excellent cold pressing process, the highest quality GangaLupo oil is bottled.
