Gaudea Awarded for PDO Arbequina
Gaudea from Spain has won a Silver Award at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
This recognition means a lot to us and is a testament to the hard work and dedication our team has invested in the production of our premium Gaudea Signature oil.

The Catalan producer, which champions its native Arbequina variety, earned its debut World Competition award for its Gaudea Signature brand.
"We are very excited to have won the Silver Award at the NYIOOC," said Gerard Camps, the company's chief executive. "This recognition means a lot to us and is a testament to the hard work and dedication our team has invested in the production of our premium Gaudea Signature oil."
Gaudea produced 5,200 liters of extra virgin olive oil using machine methods in the 2023/24 crop year. Looking ahead, Camps hopes for better climatic conditions leading into the 2024/25 harvest.
"We are concerned that a premature heat wave could again harm production," he said. "Last year, there were a lot of flowers on the trees, but the heat wave damaged them."
"Along with high temperatures in spring, unusually hot weather in October, when the harvest begins, is another challenge the company has faced in recent years," Camps added.
