Bono USA Takes 2 Awards at 2020 NYIOOC

Italian company Bono USA Inc. has won two Silver Awards at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.

We appreciate the opportunity given to us by NYIOOC for this wonderful award. This adds so much integrity to our lineup!

Salvatore Russo Tiesi, Co-Owner, Bono USA Inc.

The company produces organic extra virgin olive oil in Sicilia from Nocellara del Belice, Cerasuola and Biancolilla olives.

The 2019/2020 season was marked by "many challenges in production," company co-owner Salvatore Russo Tiesi said after receiving news of the award.

The winning oils were Rouses Sicilian PDO, a delicate blend, and Rouses Sicilian Organic PDO, an organic delicate blend. Both oils are produced by Bonolio SAS.

"We appreciate the opportunity given to us by NYIOOC for this wonderful award. This adds so much integrity to our lineup!" Russo Tiesi said.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
