Cantasole Celebrate 12th NYIOOC Accolade With Robust Biancolilla
Italian producer Cantasole has won a Gold Award at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.
The award fills me with immense pride and excitement. It’s a true validation of our hard work, dedication and commitment to producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
Arianna De Marco, CEO
The Apulian producer earned its twelfth award at the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest for a robust Biancolilla.
"The award fills me with immense pride and excitement," said Arianna De Marco, the company's chief executive. "It’s a true validation of our hard work, dedication and commitment to producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil."
"This achievement not only boosts our company’s reputation but also opens up opportunities for growth," she added. "It’s a significant milestone that motivates us to continue striving for excellence in everything we do."
For De Marco and her team, this year's award is especially gratifying after high temperatures during the autumn increased the speed at which the company's olive trees ripened.
"The most significant challenge was the unseasonably warm temperatures at the end of October and beginning of November," she said. "These conditions disrupted the ripening process, causing the olive fly to appear off-season and accelerating the harvest timeline. As a result, we worked tirelessly, without Sunday breaks, to ensure the harvest of high-quality olives."
