Central Coast Olive Company Wins 5 Straight at World Competition
For the fifth straight year, Central Coast Olive Company has been awarded at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.

The California-based producer earned a Gold Award for its flagship medium-intensity Mission monovarietal, which previously earned Gold Awards in 2020 and 2023, along with Silver Awards in 2021 and 2022.

In the 2023/24 crop year, Central Coast Olive Company celebrated a bumper crop, producing 800 liters of extra virgin olive oil from its 400 Mission olive trees using traditional methods
"California's Central Coast had a bountiful harvest this year," McCown said. "I don't know if it was the great amount of rain, the snow, the late harvest or what, but the biggest challenges were gathering enough picking bins and storage drums."
