The Apulian company, situated in the heart of Italy's largest producing region, celebrated its third consecutive Gold Award for its Frantoiani brand.
"Winning this desired prize and achieving this desired goal in the face of obstacles and competition is an affirmation of our hard work," marketing manager Lucia di Molfetta said. "It's always delightful to be given any award because it's a sign of recognition and shows that other people really like your product."
Di Molfetta Pantaleo harvested 60,000 tons of organic olives in the 2023/24 crop year using traditional methods.
Despite the additional oversight and costs associated with organic farming, Di Molfetta said they are worth the challenges they present in producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
"Being an organic producer and following the rules for all products ensures their integrity and quality, making it more desirable for health-conscious consumers," she said. "We try to be more sustainable every year and pay close attention to the quality from the plant to the final product."
