4 years agoBy OOT Staff

Italian producer L’Olinda Olive Farm won a Gold Award for its monocultivar Raggia at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.

We are very satisfied and proud of the passion we put into our work and the daily care we devote to our olive groves! This award is a motivation to do better and better!

The company produces organic extra virgin olive oil in Marche using traditional methods.

"We are very satisfied and proud of the passion we put into our work and the daily care we devote to our olive groves," co-owner Francesco Sabbatini Rossetti said. "This award is a motivation to do better and better!"

The award comes at the end of a tough 2019/20 season that was marked by significant challenge for L'Olinda Olive Farm, the company's co-owner said.

"The 2019 harvest was not so easy as some of our olive groves were recovering after the frost suffered in the previous spring," Sabbatini Rossetti said. "We are very satisfied with the quality and less with the quantity, but proud of the work we have done!"

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
