Olio Traldi Wins Gold for Eximius and Athos Brands

Italian producer Olio Traldi has won two Gold Awards for the second consecutive year at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.

First of all, it is an honor for me. This competition is the most prestigious in the world and I’m very happy to participate every year. It is always a great emotion to win and I thank those who believe in me and those who appreciate my oil.

Francesca Boni said about the award

The Lazio-based company earned the awards for Eximius, a medium Caninese, and Athos, a medium blend.

“First of all, it is an honor for me,” owner Francesca Boni said. “This competition is the most prestigious in the world and I’m very happy to participate every year. It is always a great emotion to win and I thank those who believe in me and those who appreciate my oil.”

Boni added that she was investing in new equipment and slightly changing the way he harvests to ensure increasing quality in the future.

“We have a new olive harvesting machine, to face the challenges of a good year,” she said. “And a new semi-intensive plantation, with irrigation for all of the olive trees.”

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world’s largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
