OPG Perdisacca from United States has won its fourth consecutive Gold Award at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.

Winning a gold medal at this year's NYIOOC is proof of the quality and all the hard work that we put into producing Perdisacca olive oil. We are proud of this accomplishment and we think it will help us reach more customers who are looking for the highest quality product.

It was another win for the company's Perdisacca, a delicate Rosignola produced by OPG Cergna.

Company owner Sergio Cergna remarked after receiving news of the award that the weather had been "challenging" during the season.

"We are satisfied with the 2019 harvest in terms of the quality of the olive oil. It was a challenging year due to weather conditions and climate change, that we can feel more and more in our orchards. Hopefully, things will start to change in the future as people get more conscious about this problem," Cergna said.

The company produced 1,500 liters of extra virgin olive oil from Rosignola olives using traditional methods this year.

"Winning a gold medal at this year NYIOOC is proof of the quality and all the hard work that we put into producing Perdisacca olive oil. We are proud of this accomplishment and we think it will help us reach more customers who are looking for the highest quality product," Cergna said.
