Škegro Family Winery Extends NYIOOC Winning Streak

The Škegro Family Winery, from Bosnia and Herzegovina, has won a Gold Award at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.

I am proud to represent our country at the NYIOOC. The harvest was all hand-picked and we had a lot of fun with our family and friends!"

The Herzegovinan producer picked up the Gold for its Krš brand, a medium-intensity blend. It is the third consecutive year the brand has been awarded Gold at the NYIOOC.

"I am proud to be represent our country at the NYIOOC," co-owner Bariša Škegro said. "The harvest was all hand-picked and we had a lot of fun with our family and friends!"

The Škegro Family Winery produces extra virgin olive oil from Leccino, Oblica, Pendolino and Cipressino olives using traditional methods.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
