The company earned a Gold Award for its medium-intensity Tuscan blend and a Silver Award for its medium Miller Blend.
"We are ecstatic to win these awards and are so proud to be part of this prestigious group," said Dominique Lobjois, the company's director.
In the 2023/24 crop year, The Sunshine Olive Oil Company produced 5,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods.
Lobjois cited California's wet season as the main challenge he faced throughout the harvest. "There was too much rain," he said.
"Too many growers also tried to harvest and mill olives at the same time," Lobjois added. "The late harvest was also a challenge because the same people pick our olives and grapes."
